Ethical Breeder

Every year, Miller's Scottish Fold Cattery in Milton, Florida, produces a small number of litters in our family home. To ensure that every kitten receives the love and care they require to develop into the ideal pet for you, we keep the number of litters to a minimum. From the day the kittens are born, our son engages in interaction with them and helps raise them.
We have participated in (and won!) exhibitions in Scotland and Russia, the birthplaces of the Scottish fold breed, in addition to showing our cats widely across the United Kingdom. Because of all of our show experience, we have a thorough understanding of the Scottish fold standard and are even aware of the slight variations between the standards used by different organizations. We believe that our show results are crucial in ensuring that our breeding program makes a beneficial contribution to the breed's continued development.
Our breeding Scottish fold cats have all been selected for not only their incredible good looks but also for their diversity of bloodlines, their conformance with the breed standard, and their great temperaments. There is no point in having a perfect-looking Scottish fold cat if it is not also healthy, happy, and friendly, so we focus on all areas to ensure the kittens we breed are the total package.
The majority of our foundation cats are imported from Scotland and Russia, which are the native countries of the Scottish fold breed. Our breeding cats are imported from Poland, Italy, and Russia. Numerous well-known Scottish fold cats with championship honors from their respective show organizations are in our pedigree. Since fresh bloodlines are becoming more and more scarce in the breed, we also add more recent bloodlines from Russia to our kittens' pedigrees to broaden their diversity.
With our team's expertise in feline behavior, nutrition, and health, we can help kitten owners every step of the way. We monitor cat health news and screen our breeding cats for a variety of illnesses. Our objective is to keep our breeding cats healthy and in top shape.

Health

At Miller Scottish, we have the highest expectations for our kittens. The health and well-being of our cats and kittens is our first priority. Our years of experience and careful breeding have allowed us to create Scottish Fold kittens with beautiful dispositions and outstanding features for sale.

Our 6 years old son help us raises our Scottish kittens in our family house. They will like becoming a member of your family because they are accustomed to the noises of a bustling household. You'll discover that, with your love and attention, our kittens grow up to be devoted, caring companions who like spending time with you and want to assist you in everything!

We take care to keep the surroundings free from illness. Before being brought in to live with our other cats, every new cat is tested for PKD, FIV, and FelV. Before they join the others, they undergo monitoring or testing for various illnesses such as viruses, parasites, and gastrointestinal disorders. If any of these conditions are discovered, they are treated to prevent the spread of disease. We are pleased to reveal the test results for your kitten's parents or their relatives solely to prospective clients. We maintain a "closed cattery," which means that neither our cats' sexes are allowed to visit for mating nor do they go out to stud. This is to prevent the introduction of similar issues in the future.

To the best of our knowledge, none of our cats or kittens have ever had a case of FIP. We credit this to our diligent efforts in ensuring that every cat has excellent gut health and the thorough dietary guidance we provide to each and every one of our new owners. Since there is currently no known gene associated with heart illness in Scottish kittens, many of our breeding cats have had echocardiography testing performed by a veterinary cardiologist expert to screen for heart disease and abnormalities before being bred.

Echocardiograms are a point-in-time test, therefore they cannot tell if a breeding cat will get this condition later in life, but they do give some confidence that the cat is healthy before they have their first litter. After purchasing your kitten, you are allowed to examine their test results since the veterinarian will need to verify the last round of vaccines before delivering your pet.
