OUR ENVIRONMENT
Every cat and kitten at our cattery lives with us in our house, and we are located in a beautiful neighborhood that welcomes pets. They may go about and explore at their leisure in a cozy setting with plenty of natural light. They can also take pleasure in viewing the rain at our house when Vancouver's seasons are colder. We have a large outdoor area reserved just for our feline companions to indulge in their natural impulses, in addition to the comfortable inside area. In addition to being safe from any potential dangers, this outside enclosure offers children the chance to climb, play, and enjoy the sunshine.
Our goal is to keep our feline buddies comfortable at all times, thus we keep the temperature at around 21 degrees Celsius. We use a Dyson humidifier to regulate the moisture content in our house throughout the dry winter months, preventing dry and itchy skin.
We place a high value on spending quality time with our cats so they can interact well with people and with one another. Because of this, our cats are gregarious, sociable animals who love being around humans. :)
A breeder has to have a foundational understanding of genetics, felinology, and veterinary care before setting up a cattery and beginning to breed cats. SCOTTISH FOLD
Our purebred Scottish Fold kittens are our pride and joy at Miller scottish Cattery.Every kitten has blue eyes and curled ears at birth.By the age of 21 days, Scottish Fold kittens begin to display or hint that their ears will be folded.There are different "folds" in different degrees; the best kind is the triple fold.Ears marked as "double fold" on kittens will be sold as straights.
SCOTTISH STRAIGHT
With their bigger heads, wide eyes, and exquisite characteristics, our genuine Scottish Straights are equally gorgeous. When fully grown, our male Scottish kittens will reach 8–11 pounds, while our female kittens will typically weigh 5-8 pounds.Cuddly and laid back, the Scottish Fold / Straight breed is known for its kind disposition toward humans and other animals.The average lifespan is fifteen years old.
NUTRITION
Scottish fold kittens and adults are fed Kitten Kibble (Gold brand) by Miller's Scottish Cattery, along with Iams kitten pate. We start weaning Scottish fold kittens around 4-5 weeks of age, and during this time we feed them formula and pate to promote healthy growth and development. Kibble follows soon after. Once they become 4 weeks old, Scottish fold kittens always have access to water and food. A plate or spoonful of meat is given to them twice a day until they become six months old. The moment food is introduced to their diet, litter training also starts. We make use of the lightweight Tidy Cat brand of litter.Since cats enjoy being extremely clean, our cattery provides meticulous cleaning all day long. In order to maintain their health and cleanliness, cats are given a cozy habitat.
